Today I thought of when

You and I were together.

Like a stalk,

you were my petal.

Like when I made you so happy

you forgot how to spell “sad”.

Now we keep drifting apart.

Believed that you were not the one for me,

rather the right one for me.

But now loneliness sets in our conversations.

Was that love?

Because it’s an ache I still remember.

One can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness.

Just like resignation to the end;

always the end.

So when you found that we could not make sense,

instead of working things out,

you said that we should still be friends.

I’ll admit I was glad you didn’t have to cut me off.

You told me you would be here,

and now I find you there.

You say I’m not the same.

Yes,our friendship over the years

has built and shaped me in many different ways;

some good,some bad,

but in the end,

I’d rise up, stronger than others.

Thinking about you

puts me in the blues.

Nevertheless,I could say,

nostalgia is a seductive liar!.

But just like the French say it;

“C’est la vie!!”
